Navratri 2026 Outfit Guide — What to Wear Each Night

What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear navratri? Garba night and your fits right !! Navratri has to be my favorite festival of the entire year. The prep, the dancing, the chaos of getting ready with your girls, the gathering every single night , it's way too fun .This festival calls out every diva to bring her best style and genuinely asks you to slay, every single night.

And working in fashion, I know exactly how much effort (and craze) goes into these looks. Every year around this time, my DMs fill up with the same question: how do I coordinate the colour and outfit for each of the nine nights? So I put together this Navratri outfit guide covering Navratri 9 days colour dresses, comfortable cotton and silk picks, and garba outfit ideas you can actually dance in without being weighed down by a heavy fit.

I've got you covered for each day and  dates, the Navratri 2026 colours, and how to keep it trendy, comfortable, and traditional, all nine nights.

Navratri 2026 Dates and Colours, Sorted

Sharad Navratri 2026 runs from Sunday, October 11 to Monday, October 19. Because the festival opens on a Sunday this year, the colour sequence is:

  • Day 1 (Oct 11) — Orange

  • Day 3 (Oct 13) — Red
  • Day 4 (Oct 14) — Royal Blue

Save this list, screenshot it, whatever you need to do. Half the stress of figuring out what to wear on Navratri disappears the moment you're not scrambling to Google the colour at 6 PM.

Day 1 : Orange Navratri Outfit: Baha Short Kurta Set

Navratri begins with a burst of orange, a colour that represents enthusiasm, positivity, and the courage to embrace new beginnings. Whether you're heading to Garba, visiting a temple, or celebrating with loved ones, this uplifting shade perfectly captures the excitement of Day 1.

To complement the spirit of the day, choose the Baha Short Kurta Set , the perfect silk festive pick to open the nine nights, with delicate Kashmiri silk-inspired embroidery that makes it feel special from the very first evening.

What's in it: A short kurti in luxurious silk with zari embroidery, paired with voluminous palazzo pants in jacquard dola silk that fall like a long skirt, finished with a georgette dupatta in badla work and a Mughal-influenced zhallar border.

How to style it: The set is detailed enough to stand on its own , let the badla dupatta and zhallar border do the talking, and keep jewellery light. Oxidised silver jhumkas and a stack of bangles are all you need. The palazzo silhouette gives you room to move on the dance floor while still looking pulled together is one of our favourite garba outfit ideas for a Day 1 look that photographs well but doesn't restrict movement.

Day 2 — White Navratri Outfit: Bahaar Collection

Maa Brahmacharini's day calls for calm, and the Bahaar collection captures exactly that , a celebration of springtime elegance and tranquility, crafted from pure white cotton Navratri outfits and inspired by blooming flowers and the peace of warmer days. Every piece is designed for comfort, which makes Day 2 the easiest of the nine to get dressed for.

Fabric: 100% pure white cotton, soft and breathable , built for both the morning aarti and an evening that runs long.

How to style it: Go with a dhoti kurta or an anarkali kurti for the traditional route, or a palazzo set if you want something more relaxed and effortless. Keep jewellery minimal, a single pair of jhumkas, hair in a low bun with fresh flowers  and let the white cotton do the work.

Halfway through the nine nights and it's time for something happy. The Saheli collection brings our yellow handblock corset kurti in four different styles  sleeves(anisa), sleeveless, corset-back, (maitri , yara ) and long length (sakhi) so there's a fit for whatever you're most comfortable dancing in. Style it with a skirt or palazzo and you're ready to dance all night.

If you want something heavier, the Jiva collection in yellow brings the brightness without going overboard  the print is a smaller, denser motif, so it doesn't overwhelm if you're petite.

How to style it: Wear the corset kurti with a matching cotton palazzo for the day's puja, then switch to a flared skirt with oxidised silver jewellery for the night's garba round.
